Really nice place, calm atmosphere. I usually hunt around for the best French Dip sandwich, and I've tried almost every restaurant in town that serves them. Amy's Cafe is by far the best one I've had in Fredericksburg. It's as close to a proper French Dip as possible, just have to make sure you ask for the grilled onions!
The food is just amazing and I can't wait to get back to explore the menu further. I highly recommend the pork chops & grilled asparagus, while my son recommends the Reuben sandwich. Even the fries were amazing...who knew fries could be upgraded to a higher level? LOL! All in all, a wonderful dining experience at this quaint little place known as Amy's Cafe!
A wonderful find on our road trip! We discovered this little cafe while escaping traffic on I-95. The food and drinks were great, but what really stood out was the atmosphere and service. Everyone was incredibly helpful, welcoming, and the other patrons looked like they were having fun. Interesting mix of people, with dog bowls on the deck and motorcycles in the parking lot. I wish we lived closer, we'd definitely become regulars.
Cool place. Good food. Slow service but not too bad. I'd definately go back.

This restaurant is in one of the perfect places! Why you're enjoying the river beach you can walk right over to Amy's and enjoy a nice meal or some drinks. Great food, they have some great cooks because their food is awesome! Not a while lot of parking but they also have a gravel lot right across from restaurant for overflow parking, don't worry you won't get towed!
There are just not enough good things to say about this place...it's fantastic! It's certainly tucked into an out-of-the-way location, but well worth the search. The staff are warm and friendly (thank you Linda!!). We even had a very nice chat with Tim, the sous chef and the owner (I'm sorry I've forgotten his name)...everyone there is so sweet and friendly and very much makes you feel welcome.
