The students are rude, it's way overcrowded, unorganized, etc. My guidance counselor has continuously failed to inform me of important matters and instead calls my mom saying she'll call me in during Pride Time. She still hasn't. I don't feel accepted. My grades and motivation has crashed because of how much it stresses me out and drains me both physically and emotionally. Words cannot express how much I hate this hellhole of a "school."
This school is horrible. I wish there was an option to give a negative amount of stars. The phone policy is completely stupid (they're just worried about all the videos of how truly horrific this school is online) The good "doctor" (vice principal) cares more about covering the asses of his custodians of all things instead of believing that one of them is harassing a student. Constantly blames the child.
the new phone rule is absolutely ridiculous. They only did it because all the videos on social media were making them look bad, they only care about themselves and THEIR image. Not being able to use your phone in the hallway and during class is understandable, but in pride time AND lunch?! It just make 0 sense to me. It’s only the second day of high school and i already want to leave.
Some of the teachers are concerned about the kids getting a good education while others seem to just be there for the paycheck. Some of them have an I got mine you have to get yours type of attitude. Some of them think they can speak to the kids any type of way they feel like it failing to realize that although they're the teachers they have to give respect in order to get respect. They also have a bad habit of not letting the kids use the bathroom when they need to and that's not good for medical reasons. Everybody can't hold it for hours and holding it is not good because it could cause the child to get a uti. They don't think about that though but they will when it happens and the parents starting sending doctor bills to the school board for them to pay because the teachers think it's ok for them to tell someone's child to" just hold it" until the bell rings. That's crazy because they themselves don't do that and wouldn't want some teacher to tell their child/ren that so don't do to someone else's child what you don't want done to yours. Now I understand some really don't have to go when they say they do but this is not a case of what works for one works for the other because the teacher don't know each child's situation especially the girls because they have other reasons for going to the bathroom just like the female teachers do and they shouldn't have to stand there and explain their personal business to any teacher. I tell mine not to explain anything. If you need to go and they don't let you go anyway and handle your business and then tell the teacher to address the issue with me as the parent. Also the new phone rule they have is just stupid. To expect the kids not to use their phones during their free time like while it's lunchtime is crazy. What are they hurting? It's not disturbing any class members or teachers unless someone using a phone disturbs someone while they're chewing which I highly doubt. The problem really is the kids are posting things happening in the school and that's what administration don't like. They don't like that people can see what's happening inside their building where they're supposed to have control but obviously don't.
New school policy makes me wish I could change schools now. Not being able to use your phone during lunch time, or pride time is a bit much. During class is understandable, but lunch and pride time is the students free time and they should be allowed to at least listen to music, instead of being suspended for having a phone on them
