Horrible! We were at the thrift shop 2 doors down and were hungry, never been to this restaurant before nor will we ever go back. I was with my mother and my 2 toddlers, there was only one other table occupied (I think by family or friends of the restaurant owner). The music was super loud and we had to shout just to carry a conversation, my food seemed a bit soggy, the rice was bland, and my children only ate the fries.. When I went to eat their cheeseburger not to waste food, I saw why my 3 year old spit it out.. I took one bite, and it tasted like something was expired, couldn't tell if it was the cheese, or the burger, but I couldn't even swallow it as it tasted so rotten. $4.50 for an expired burger is plain stupid. The seat backs are the same as the booth behind us and the guys behind me kept pushing it while I was eating which was very comfortable (I'm assuming just re positioning himself a lot). I do NOT recommend going here unless you want your kids to be eating expired food that could land them in the hospital. Left a review on Yelp as well.
Good food at good prices
I came in for lunch, and the chicken in my burrito was lukewarm and dry. I ordered tamales as well, they were soggy and the chicken was again dry. The rice tasted like someone dumped a ramen packet on it and called it authentic. If you're into microwave mexican food, El Charro is right down the road.
This place has a real authentic feel with homemade tasting food. It was fantastic. The culture was rich. And the owner walked around to make sure everyone was doing well. Just had a really nice feel.
