Okay, I didn't actually stay here. I'm giving this review second hand based on feedback from my daughter who just stayed there with her husband and 4 little ones.(I just paid for it (: Well first off for a 2 star hotel you're getting a lot for your money. She said the kids loved the indoor pool. Breakfast had something for everyone. Restaurants all around you for dinner. They loved their room and the staff was friendly and helpful. My interaction with the front desk was great also when I made the reservation. We're already talking about staying here again on our next of many trips back and forth from Atlanta to Philly and vice versa.
Clean, comfortable, but, a bit dated hotel. Fresh popcorn at night and folks at breakfast were great. pool and hot-tub had too much chlorine and burned eyes/throat. Kids loved the short time they got to spend in them though. Everyone was great at the front desk except for one. Management needs to seek her out. Would stay again, but would be more assertive than my wife in the future with the front desk. For whatever it is worth, we are Hilton diamond members as well.
Good location, but we had a room in the "basement" (and it felt like one). The pool is on this level, which makes the hallway and room feel muggy and smell like chlorine. The room was clean, but looked and felt outdated. We ended up leaving after a couple hours due to the above listed issues and went somewhere else. The rest of the rooms are probably decent, but don't stay in the basement.
We checked in late as a stopover driving from NY to NC. We really just needed a place to get some rest. In the morning we noticed our room was a little run down, the dining area at breakfast was the same. This location needs some TLC. Our bathroom sink wouldn't drain, the pipe under the sink was leaking. I'm a big fan of HI Suites, but this one was a little disappointing.
Needs updating, especially in bathrooms, shower drains smelled horrible. The breakfast buffet was very nice and great coffee. The staff was super helpful and nice.
