If I could run far away from this place I would but unfortunately am stuck here due to family. Nice place to have a wedding.... but not to spend the night.
I would put zero stars if I could. Currently staying here for a wedding. The wedding venue itself was nice.... but the rooms in the inn are awful. Writing this review while lying on the creeky board like mattress of a bed. But that's not what's keeping me awake, there's a constant rumbling pipe sound that is on and off every 30 seconds. It's so loud the walls are practically vibrating from it. Also... pretty sure there is an accumulation of dust or mold in the walls because my allergies are acting up causing my nostrils and eyes to burn. And on top of all that our toilet is constantly leaking all over the bathroom floor. Oh and the blinds fell off the window earlier.
As guests of relatives who were staying at the Inn, we were invited to tour the entrance and lobby area. We were impressed with the interior decorations, furniture and pictures within this area .. cozy and warm atmosphere .. very inviting.
Very Beautiful venue. Loved the exposed brick and the farm/warehouse feel of it. There is ample parking and the staff was mostly agreeable minus a few "bad apples". The bar was nicely stocked but the food left a lot to be desired. It was lukewarm and bland. Especially the scallops, which can pose a health risk. Other than that it was a nice experience.
Excellent service saved the day, but it's not worth the price. Tiny room, tiny bed, creaky floors, a continually gurgling minifridge, "wait a few minutes for hot water", a single working outlet, and a continental breakfast which included expired creamers, expired yogurts and bruised fruit.
I love this little b&b so much. I make visits to the Silk Inn to "get away" from work and everyday stress as often as I can. It's clean, cozy and close to the downtown area and I can walk anywhere I want to go. The Heritage trail is right behind it and they have a massage therapist in the complex. It's quiet and the owners are the nicest people. Check it out. The prices .....pretty cool for all they offer.
