This store sold me a table which they didn't even have in stock. The sales person said it would be in after 3 weeks. After 3 weeks they further informed me that it would be almost 4 more weeks before they could get the table in and then they needed another week to do the finishing. I asked them for a refund because I was not happy with the service and they didn't tell me the table was back ordered when I purchased it. They refused, because they have an "all sales are final' policy. Then they tried to offer me the floor model which had large scratches on the surface. I refused and now am stuck waiting.
My warning for you....don't buy furniture from this store that does not even have their products in stock! The products may even be "back ordered" allowing them to endlessly hold onto your money. Now I am stuck taking them to small claims court so that I cant get a refund.
I had a fantastic experience with everyone in the shop. All the employees are knowlegable and helpful. The pricing is fair. The product selection almost endless, and is much bigger than just what's on the showroom floor. Expect a few weeks for arrival if you have to order. Much of what they sell is made by Pennsylvania craftsmen, from an area that's famous for its family woodworking tradition. This is not your boxy crate furniture from the 90's - the styles are up-to-date and you can do the finishes yourself or have it done.
We have used Good Wood Furniture for the past 16 years. We have purchased bookcases, TV stands, our bedroom, family room and kitchen furniture from them. Some pieces were already finished but my husband finished many others thanks to the helpful advise from their staff. The quality and service has been excellent. I recommend them to anyone who wishes to have solid furniture that will last a lifetime.
